A Special Thank You
Last Hope Animal Charity would like to thank all those who have donated money already this year. We know that times are hard, and every penny that has been donated is being put to good use. We would like to especially thank a little 8year old girl named Alannah, who sent us a letter, and included some of her hard earned pocket money. This money is to go towards the bills for Sophie, a 16 week old female kitten who is currently undergoing treatment for a back injury. Alannahs thoughtfulness and generosity touched us and brought tears to all who read her letter, so thank you Alannah from the bottom of our heart.
Please be Vigilant
As the weather has gotten so cold, please keep your eye out for stray/lost animals. If an animal comes into your garden or you spot a cat or dog out in the cold, please take it in and call us…this weather is often too much for small pets that are used to being indoors or pets who are vulnerable, injured, young or old. If you come across a cat or dog that you believe is a stray or has been dumped, please take it to safe place and call us straight away on 0857172024 or on 0868406090. If you have a genuine emergency and need our help, do call us on either of the numbers listed above.
Unwanted Christmas Gifts and Donations
Every year, many people receive gifts at Christmas that they don’t have any use for…so we are asking for people to donate those presents to us so we can use them as spot prizes and raffle prizes for our upcoming fundraising events. We are also struggling financially and we are not in a position to take in any more cats or dogs or help any more animals until we have fundraisers in the new year. So if you are able to donate any amount of money however small, please do so.

Want to Adopt a Cat or a Kitten?

Food Stuffs Wanted
We are constantly looking for donations of food, for example tins of tuna, salmon, sardines etc. These foods are tasty and are great treats for our cats and kittens and are also used to disguise medication! If you would like to donate some food, please email us at admin@lasthope.ie
We also need additional blankets, towels, sheets and bedding so if there is any to spare lying around your home that you do not use, please do get in touch.
